The Exorcism of Emily Rose Plot Notes

The 2005 film is loosely related to a real exorcism of a young woman called Anneliese Michel back in the 1960s to 1970s. The film covers a young woman (Emily Rose) who started experiencing what seemed to be hallucinations and strange forces pressing down on her in the middle of the night. She then starts to experience strange contortions and is then visited by a health professional who confirms she has got epilepsy. She and her parents start to believe that in fact, she hasn't got epilepsy but is possessed by demons. So, in response, they call in a local priest and ask him to perform an exorcism. After a while Emily Rose dies because of malnourishment because the demons had possessed her to starve herself and in the end the priest, Father Moore is sentenced in a court for murder.
